Guidelines for Manuscript Reviews
Writers Day 2021
Conference attendees are invited to submit a manuscript of no more than 10 pages to be reviewed by one of our faculty members for a fee of $50 per manuscript. We will match your manuscript to the most appropriate reviewer.
Synopsis: For novels, you may also include a synopsis of up to 250 words on an additional page. This synopsis will not be reviewed, but may be included if you feel a reviewer would benefit from getting a sense of what you’re trying to do. The synopsis may be single-spaced.
We will be returning your review via email so make sure your contact information is up-to-date. Please note that we can’t guarantee your manuscript will be returned with the review.
Manuscripts should be formatted as follows:
– 1-inch margin on all sides
– Times New Roman, 12-point font
– Header on every page including your last name and key word from title.
– Pages should be numbered.
Send your manuscript in an email with the subject line MANUSCRIPT REVIEW to
In the body of your email, include:
– Your name
– Phone number
– Email address
– Title of your manuscript
– Indicate if manuscript is PB, MG or YA
Please attach your manuscript to the email as a PDF file for ease of opening.
All manuscripts must be emailed by 11:59pm on May 29, 2021.
Please note: Sending your manuscript to the writing contest will not suffice. It must be emailed to the above address for the written reviews.
