ABOUT:
LitMingle Squared
Instead of passing out handouts about networking, we figured the best way to master such skills is to, as Yoda once said, “DO. There is no try.”

So come Mingle at the LitMingle and get to know your fellow kidlit writers and artists a bit better. This is an opportunity to talk about what you are writing, reading, drawing, or creating.

There is no agenda this month. Just come and be social.

Light refreshments will be served.

There is parking in the lot (if you can find a spot) and unrestricted (free) parking on the nearby streets.

ABOUT:
Pitch Practice
You’re talking with a fellow writer (or scarier, an agent!) and they ask you what your book is about. In that moment, the entire English language floats out of your brain and words don’t make sense leaving you to mumble non-coherent phrases. But you swear you had the perfect pitch!

This month, bring your pitch with you. We will take a moment to make sure they are polished, then put the introductions to the test. We will practice introductions and pitches with each other so that we can get more comfortable and confident in letting everyone know exactly what we are working on.
