BOOK CLUB NIGHT
Book: How to Write a Novel Using the Snowflake Method by Randy Ingermanson

You’ve probably heard of Plotters. You may have heard of Pantsers. But have you heard of Snowflakers? Okay, maybe it’s not the best term to call them, but it is an alternate plotting method for those who found that outlining is too tedious and writing by the seat of your pants goes nowhere.

For our book of the month, we wanted to explore one of the plotting methods that people are starting to mention more in conversation. The Snowflake Method. Read the book if you can and join us to discuss the methods proposed and how this way of plotting is or isn’t helpful for your writing.

ABOUT:
Sail Away with Us — Virtual Field Trip

We all miss our beloved bookstore, and could use a change of scenery, so please join us on this virtual field trip.

First stop – A visit with The Pumphrey Brothers to discuss their newest collaboration, “The Old Boat.”

Once Upon A Time presents acclaimed author and illustrator sibling team, Jarret and Jerome Pumphrey, and their new picture book “The Old Boat.” This quiet, and thought-provoking story from the creators who brought us “The Old Truck” will encourage readers to think about the change they can bring to our environment.

Second stop: Montrose LitMingle to discuss what we learned.

How it works:
1. Register at Once Upon a Time for the Zoom Webinar to reserve your spot (it’s free and the links are unique—so get your own here: https://zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_KUGtPsqJQf6yXlLzuWDT-w )
2. Then (and only then) RSVP for the Zoom link to the LitMingle after the webinar.
3. On Thursday, March 11, join the Once Upon a Time webinar at 7pm.
4. Immediately following the webinar with The Pumphrey Brothers, join the LitMingle.

Nautical attire is encouraged! Foul mouthed pirates will be made to walk the plank!!
