Two nights, five meals, snacks, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, the company of other butts-in-chairs working on their craft, impromptu critique groups, and the privacy of your own room.
The B-I-C Retreat:
Focus on your writing and/or illustrating
Take time for you and your WIP(s)
This working, relaxing, time-for-your-craft weekend is held at the Holy Spirit Retreat Center in Encino. The dorm-style rooms provide two twin beds and bathroom, but NO internet access, landline telephones or TV. Few distractions! Some limited internet access is available in the main building. There are areas for gentle walks, a steep hill for the more adventurous, and a duck pond provides a place for quiet contemplation.
The retreat opens Friday at 3pm and it’s all about you and your WIP(s). Impromptu critique groups, outdoor seating, and a communal working room available from registration until noon on Sunday.
It’s a wonderful opportunity to meet new friends in the writing community, form lasting critique groups, or just spend your time in your room working on your craft. Packaged snacks and hot beverages are available all weekend. Family-style meals provided, from Friday dinner to Sunday breakfast.
Limited number of rooms available. Commuter slots also available.
