Join the New SCBWI-LA Facebook Group!
To interact with our bustling kidlit community in the Los Angeles region, join the Facebook Group Page. You must have a Facebook account and provide the email you signed up with for SCBWI membership in order to join the group. After that you can chat and post to the group page where your fellow members can do the same.
If you do not have a Facebook account, please fill out the required information on the Facebook landing page at https://www.facebook.com. This includes your first name and last name and your email. You do not have to use the same email you use for SCBWI, but you will have to be able to access the email in order to get updates and confirm your account.
Once you’ve made your account and updated your profile page, find the SCBWI-LA Group Page by entering “scbwi-la” into the search bar at the top of the website. The group should pop up as the number one search. If you have difficulty, you can click the following link while you are logged in to your account: https://www.facebook.com/groups/626155764791417/
Click “Join” to the right of our group name OR “Join Group” under the SCBWI-LA banner.

Once you have joined, Facebook will ask if you want to make our group a shortcut. Click “yes” and the group will be added to the left sidebar on your profile webpages. That way you can easily click on the shortcut to visit the group page without having to search for it in the search bar each time you want to post or check for updates.
Once your profile is approved to join, make your first post and introduce yourself to the group! Have fun and happy writing and illustrating!
