PAL Authors and Illustrators:
Join us at the Los Angeles Comic Con

The 2019 Los Angeles Comic Con will be from October 11th – 13th at the LA Convention Center, and this year we’re having PANELS.

PAL members can participate by:

1. Registering for the signing table only
2. Registering for the signing table and volunteering to sit on a panel
OR
3. Volunteering to sit on a panel only

Participating in panels is FREE – but we can’t guarantee which panels or panelists will be chosen or when the panels will be held as that’s up to Comic Con. You might sign up for one subject, but find yourself on another panel – or, sadly, not on a panel at all. We will keep you informed as soon as we hear from Comic Con. Until panels are finalized, we can’t complete the schedule.

The signing table will work just like the LA Times Festival of Books. Each participant is responsible for his or her own sales, including making change, receipts, taxes, etc. We will not have a store connected with this event. Like any event, your sales may vary but your opportunity for pictures and promotions on social media will not. Space at the signing table is limited so sign up early!

Bring your work – Picture Books, MG, YA, Art – and meet 100,000 potential new fans at the Los Angeles Comic Con!

Entry to the Con

Each participant who is not on a panel will be responsible for purchasing their own ticket to the con on top of paying our fee for time at the signing table. Unlike the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books, LA Comic Con charges for tickets.
You can apply for a Professional Pass to get you and a guest in FREE! SCBWI can’t guarantee the Con will accept your application, but make sure to mention that you’ll be with the SCBWI booth.
The deadline for Professional Pass applications is October 4th.
If you must purchase a ticket to the con, day passes run between $25-$35 depending on the day.

No refunds for the signing table after September 11.
