PAL Authors and Illustrators:
Join us at the Los Angeles Comic Con!

Based on the success of our LA Times Festival of Books booth, this October 26th-28th we are setting up at the Los Angeles Comic Con, in the LA Convention Center.

Last year, the Con drew 90,000 people who spent $11 million dollars on merchandise. This year, they expect 100,000 people – and they all read!

They also like art.

So, join us to sell and sign your work – Picture Books, MG, YA, Art.

Bring it.
Sell it.
Sign it.

Difference Between a Festival and a Convention
The big difference between this convention and the LA Times Festival is that conventions charge admission. Each participant will be responsible for paying for their own ticket over and above our fee.

That’s the bad news. The good news is that you can apply for a Professional Pass to get in free. SCBWI can’t guarantee the Con will accept your application. We have no control over what they do but make sure to mention that you’ll be selling and signing at the SCBWI booth. If you can’t get a free pass, day passes run between $25-35 depending on the day.

More good news: our costs are lower for this event, and we’re passing that savings on to you.

The deadline for Professional Pass applications is October 12th.

Besides the tickets, everything else is just like the LA Times Festival of Books. Each participant is responsible for his or her own sales, including making change, receipts, taxes, etc. We will not have a store connected with this event.

Like any event, your sales may vary but your opportunity for pictures and promotions on social media will not.

So join us, and 100,000 potential new fans of your work, at the Los Angeles Comic Con.

No refunds after October 7th.
